OPTION A: Working Organelle Model
Pick one organelle
and build a WORKING model that demonstrates the structure and function of the
organelle. (a
working model has moving parts)
- Provide a
paragraph describing how your model resembles the organelle
** I do not expect
you to buy any materials for this project!
Use items found at home or outside!

OPTION B: Children’s Picture Book
Create and
illustrate an organelle picture book.
Include a picture and summary for each organelle addressed in
class.
- Each page should
depict the structure and function of the organelle.
- Each summary can
be written as part of a story or as a general description.
PICTURES MUST BE
HAND- DRAWN / CREATED
OPTION C: Organelle Soundtrack
Compile music that
demonstrates your knowledge of each organelle addressed in class.
- Each song should
represent the structure and/or function of an organelle.
- A song may also
represent the relationship between a couple organelles.
* Do NOT use songs
with profanity or inappropriate lyrics (when in doubt, ask!)
- Submit on a CD as
audio tracks
- Submit a play
list that includes:
* Title and artist
* Related organelle
* Reasoning behind song choice

OPTION D: Write
Your Own Song
Write an original song for 3 organelles (3 different songs)
- each song should demonstrate your knowledge
of the structure and function of the organelle
- each song must be AT LEAST twelve lines long
* you can opt to take a song you already
know and rewrite the lyrics to fit the organelle
* you can opt to record it yourself!!!
EXTRA CREDIT
For extra credit
you may include an organelle that we do not address in class in your project.
Choose from -
Ex.
A. It may be
included in your working model, with a separate explanation
B. Complete a
storybook page for it.
C. Find and explain
a song for the organelle.
